San Diego Qualifying Report in latest SCCA PRO SPEEDVISION

For immediate release

San Diego, CA
Qualifying Report
November 4, 2000

Things did not go our way in qualifying. We were a full second slower even though we were on sticker tires. Two errors cost us. First we had made a tire pressure adjustment. Second the track decided to add brake markers in many areas of the track and Peter did not realize it until it was too late. Our data acquisition indicated we were almost 10 mph slower on both the main straights because we were braking early in those critical zones at the end of both long straights.

So we ended up fifteenth. Not great, but still with a glimmer of hope for the race.
