Mustang Chassis Dynamometer MD-1100-SE

After years of unsatisfied dyno to real world results, Moorespeed is proud to have added a true high-performance chassis dyno that simulates real world conditions unlike any dyno we’ve owned or used previously. The versatile Mustang MD-1100-SE (Single Eddy Current) chassis dyno is designed to test Sport Compacts, RWD Drag Cars, Diesel Trucks, and Motorcycles – truly amazing for only one machine.

 

With a capacity of 2,000 HP at the wheels, the 1100 is large enough to handle 99.9% of the street cars on the road today. Unlike similarly priced 24” roll dynos, the 1100 offers big 30” diameter rolls for superior traction so your wheels will not slip when boost kicks in, or when nitrous oxide is used.

 

With the eddy current power absorber unit (PAU) we can perform exact high-performance tuning of spark and fuel curves with true real-world road load simulation. The dyno will also simulate wind loading by a simple change of the drag coefficients built into the software as published by DOT.

 

Not only does this Dyno help us tune performance engines but it is also a great tool for driveability diagnostics simulating on the road conditions without leaving the shop where a host of data can be gathered that could not in a mobile environment.

Engine Upgrade Verification

Here is an example of this comparison with two different exhaust systems:

 

The first Dyno pull is with the original exhaust system to create a “Baseline Comparison Graph” showing Engine Torque, Engine Horsepower and A/F.

 

The Second Dyno Pull is with the new system and immediately shows tremendous increases in both Horse Power & Torque (19HP and 11 ft-lb)

Power Baseline Acceleration Pull Package $180

This package purpose is to measure the baseline performance of the vehicle as stock, or before future performance modifications are performed. Included printed dyno graphs can also be used for future reference.

Package Includes*:

 

  • Vehicle hook-up and disconnection
  • Two, accurate chassis dyno acceleration pulls
  • Printed, graphic or numeric dyno graphs
  • Saved dyno information on your jump drive, or emailed.
  • *Air/Fuel metering, additional $25
